The Archbishops of Tigray and the Executive Committee of the Orthodox Church of Tigray issued a joint statement during a meeting held from February 06 to 07, 2023. They support the peace agreement between the Ethiopian and Tigray governments and called on the two governments to implement the peace agreement to return the displaced people to their homes and solve the problems of the people suffering from hunger and disease. The Tigray High Orthodox Church leaders, which was established with the blood of Tigrayans for the very existence of Tigrayans, has announced that it will continue to work with its people without compromising.
