The agreement has successfully halted the war and provided a platform to address the urgent needs of our people. However, the TPLF has raised concerns that crucial issues related to the security and national interests of the Tigrayan people remain unresolved. The dependent group created in Tigray is writing black history in the sabotage of Tigray’s national interests and is creating a cover to carry out the conspiracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, our people returning to Tselemti and Raya are still facing severe hardships, with many being displaced once again. There are reports of Amhara militants and administrations regrouping in these areas, with efforts underway to establish illegitimate local governments in direct violation of the agreements made within the African Union panel in March. These actions, aimed at altering the demographics and geographic composition of Tigray, are being carried out with the tacit approval and collaboration of the top leadership of the Tigray interim administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is imperative that the provisions of the Pretoria Agreement are upheld to liberate our people and territory from the occupying forces and to facilitate the safe return of displaced individuals to their homes. Amhara militants in occupied territories must withdraw, settlers must return to their places of origin, illegal Amhara administrations must be dissolved, and those displaced must be allowed to return home. The formation of new interim administrations at the woreda and kebele levels in occupied areas is not sanctioned by the Pretoria Agreement or the Ethiopian Constitution. The TPLF stands firm in its position against any actions that threaten the sovereignty of the Tigray region, and those engaged in undermining this will be held accountable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Tigrayans who have served in the Ethiopian National Defense Forces are being arrested and killed solely based on their identity, highlighting the plight faced by Tigrayans across the country. recent reports indicate that some individuals were initially released but were later kidnapped by militants on their way back to their families in the Amhara Region. We urge the federal government and the Amhara Regional government to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of these Tigrayans who have been kidnaped<\/p>\n\n\n\n
