The earthquake occurred again today at approximately 1:37 a.m. and had a duration of around 50 seconds, according to a report by Volno Discovery that referenced the German Geoscience Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Elyas Lewi, Director of Geophysics and Space Science at Addis Ababa University, verified to Ethiopian Television the occurrence of a second earthquake in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Elyas Lewi noted that the tremors from this morning’s earthquake reached as far as Addis Ababa. He reported that the earthquake occurred in Awash Fentale, the same site as the earlier one, and measured approximately 4.6 on the Richter scale. Volno Discovery indicated that the earthquake originated 10 kilometers beneath the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports indicate a moderate tremor occurred in Methara, with minor tremors felt across regions within a 99-kilometer radius of the epicenter, affecting areas such as Addis Ababa, Gelmso, Bedesa, Adama, Wenji, and Debre Bhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
