Furthermore, the persistent disregard for the demands of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the people of Tigray for the restoration of the pre-war administrative status quo, the withdrawal of Eritrean and Amhara forces, and the safe return of refugees and IDPs fuels fears of renewed conflict.<\/p>\n<p>War profiteers are exploiting the situation to incite further violence and advance their own agendas. To prevent a potential outbreak of widespread insecurity, it is imperative to urgently address these demands and implement them in good faith.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, to address the legitimacy gap, reconstitution of inclusive interim regional administration with all Tigrayan stakeholders is a necessary step towards sustaining peace.<\/p>\n<p>We therefore call upon all stakeholders, observers of the peace agreement, and the international community to exert pressure on the parties to the agreement, particularly the Government of Ethiopia, to reverse its current course of action that is jeopardizing the peace process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salsay Weyane Tigray<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>January 28, 2025<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Me&#8217;qelle<\/strong><\/p>\n<!--CusAds0-->\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Press Release from Salsay Weyane Tigray.
