{"id":26305,"date":"2025-12-16T20:43:35","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T17:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dedebit.org\/?p=26305"},"modified":"2025-12-16T20:43:35","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T17:43:35","slug":"indian-prime-minister-narendra-modi-arrives-in-addis-ababa-for-two-day-working-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dedebit.org\/?p=26305","title":{"rendered":"Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Arrives in Addis Ababa for Two-Day Working Visit."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Arrives in Addis Ababa for Two-Day Working Visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Addis Ababa on Tuesday for his first-ever two-day working visit to Ethiopia, which officials have reportedly described as historic.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Modi was welcomed at Bole International Airport by Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Gideon Timotheos, and other senior government officials.<\/p>\n<p>During his stay, Prime Minister Modi is expected to hold discussions with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on key issues including investment and cyber security.<\/p>\n<p>Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia Anil Kumar Rai earlier stated that the two leaders will engage in extensive talks covering a wide range of bilateral concerns, such as investment, agriculture, mining development, digital infrastructure, and cyber security.<\/p>\n<p>The House of People\u2019s Representatives announced that Prime Minister Modi will address a joint session of the 6th House of People\u2019s Representatives and the 5th Annual General Meeting of the House of Federation tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Modi is scheduled to meet with Ethiopia\u2019s Indian community, which numbers around 2,500, and participate in cultural and welcoming events organized in his honor.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will reaffirm the two countries\u2019 shared commitment as partners in the Global South and strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.<\/p>\n<!--CusAds0-->\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Arrives in Addis Ababa for Two-Day Working Visit.
