These measures, the party argued, have made daily life increasingly difficult for Tigrayans.<\/p>\n<p>The party also criticized the government\u2019s failure to address broader political and humanitarian issues, including respect for Ethiopia\u2019s constitutional order and the urgent needs of displaced persons and refugees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe urge the Government of Ethiopia to cease this regressive tactic of inflicting unbearable hardship on the general public in an attempt to extract political concessions from its adversaries,\u201d the statement read.
