Statement of Position from the Cabinet of the Interim Administration of the Tigray Region.

The interim administration in Tigray is actively working to implement its plans across various sectors, engaging the local population in the reconstruction efforts. we are dedicated to preserving the hard-earned peace in the region and assisting the people to resume their normal lives. However, the community continues to encounter obstacles due to the lack of effective leadership focus on key priorities, including the full execution of the Pretoria agreement, safeguarding territorial boundaries, and facilitating the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The administration has set clear directives to mobilize all Tigrayans’ resources collectively to boost our negotiation capabilities and confront the current challenges.
The people must clearly understand that the problem in Tigray is not between the TPLF and the interim administration. Accordingly, the issue stems from a division within the top leadership of the TPLF. It is important to note that the consequences of this problem are negatively impacting the government structure, but it does not apply to the interim administration as a government and its functions. It is evident that members of the TPLF leadership are taking sides in this division based on their beliefs and affiliations. However, it should also be mentioned that the interim cabinet includes intellectuals, security forces, and opposition parties. Ultimately, the Cabinet of the Interim Administration and the Interim Administration itself are not part of this division and the issues it is causing. We want to reassure the public that the government will continue to provide strengthened and legally guaranteed public services to the people.
The Cabinet and the President of the Interim Administration have been entrusted with specific duties and will conduct public engagements and initiatives within governmental institutions to fulfill their mandate within the confines of the law. any disruptions to this process will be addressed through legal recourse. Deliberate efforts to obstruct government initiatives, introduce unauthorized policies, overturn decisions made by the interim administration, or undermine governmental structures will not be tolerated, and legal measures will be taken to address such actions.

The security forces in Tigray deserve recognition for their diligent efforts in maintaining peace and security despite numerous challenges. any accusations or defamation against the security forces will be addressed in accordance with the law. as part of the Interim Administration the Tigray security forces are committed to operating impartially and managing political disputes between parties with adherence to the law and under the guidance provided by the Cabinet and the President of the Interim Administration.
