The Tigray Peace and Security Office has refuted claims broadcasted by Asana TV last evening, which suggested that arrest warrants were issued for top officials of the TPLF and military generals, dismissing these allegations as a mere fabrication.
The Tigray Security Bureau has denounced Asana TV for disseminating misinformation, stating that the allegations of arrest warrants for generals and politicians are a calculated effort of black propaganda aimed at causing fear among the Tigrayan populace. The Bureau emphasized that internal matters would be resolved through peaceful and political means, with the Tigray security forces committed to this goal.
Furthermore, the Office of Tigray Communication Affairs has recognized Asana TV’s past support for the Tigrayan people’s struggle for justice and survival, yet it has denounced the recent spread of baseless information.
The Tigray Communication Affairs Office has strongly condemned Asena television’s reports for aggravating internal uncertainty and instability in Tigray, hindering peaceful political efforts, and obstructing the region’s progress towards normalcy, devoid of war rumors.
It should be noted that Asana TV has previously reported misinformation about the withdrawal of the Eritrean army from Tigray territories. In reality, additional troops are being deployed in Adyabo, Badme, and other areas, which remain under the control of the Eritrean government.
