After observing the situation in Degua Temben, the ambassadors pledged to continue their support for peace and stability in Tigray. They met with the President of the Tigray Region, Mr. Getachew Reda, who urged them to strengthen their support from the European Union and other countries.
Tigray Television reported that President Getachew expressed gratitude to the European Union and other countries for their assistance through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) but emphasized the need for continued support due to the significant damages caused by the genocidal war.
In addition to discussing reconstruction efforts, the ambassadors also spoke with the interim administration of the region about the return of displaced citizens to their villages and other pressing issues.
