Ethiopia Reports New #Marburg_Virus Cases and Death.
The Ethiopian Ministry of Health has confirmed two new cases of Marburg virus and one additional death, raising the total number of fatalities to four since the outbreak began.
According to the ministry, the two new infections were identified from 13 laboratory tests conducted on November 21. One of the patients had already been quarantined in Jinka town, Southern Ethiopia, and is currently receiving medical treatment at the same facility.
Health officials stated that the latest death occurred on November 21, bringing the cumulative toll to four. Since the outbreak was first announced, 46 laboratory tests have been carried out, with eight individuals testing positive for the virus. Four patients remain under medical care.
The ministry announced on November 20 that two additional cases had been confirmed through laboratory testing, underscoring the continued spread of the virus.
