The Sudanese Rapid Defense Forces led by General Mohamed Hamdan Degalo or Hemeti accepted a request to stop fighting during the month of Ramadan. If this is implemented, it will delay a bit of the 11 months long war in Sudan. In a statement, the forces said the UN Security Council resolution opens the door to reaching out to Sudanese in crisis and establishing a lasting ceasefire.
