In an interview with the national television station (ETV), the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ethiopia, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, said, “We didn’t kill innocent people with drones”. He added, some people are spreading false information and called themselves “advocates”, trying to gain power by destroying the people’s fate.”
However, the government and various critical institutions, including the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC), and the media have been publishing these reports on the harm caused to civilians by the actions of the government security forces, including drone attacks.
