Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed appointed Dr. Gideon Tomotios as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Today, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced three new appointments. Dr. Gedion Timotheos, formerly the Minister of Justice, has been named the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. This follows the appointment of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Taye Atske Selassie, as the new President of the Federation.

In addition to Dr. Gedion appointment, the former state Minister of Government Communication Service, Selamawit Kassa, has been selected by the Prime Minister to succeed Ambassador Nassise Chali as the Minister of Tourism.

Lastly, Hanna Arayaselassie, previously serving as the commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, has been named the new Minister of Justice, as reported by state media.
