The Cabinet of the Interim Administration of Tigray recently engaged in extensive reviews and discussions over three consecutive days. The forum was convened with the goal of assessing the comprehensive structure of the Tigray Interim Administration from top to bottom and determining the program directions to focus on in the upcoming months.
The Interim Administration of Tigray Cabinet has issued a statement calling on all levels of leadership within the Tigray region to remove themselves from political conflicts and dedicate their efforts towards public service. They have urged government structures in bureaus, zones, and woreda to prioritize their work for the people and the government rather than engaging in political activities.
Furthermore, the Interim Administration has asked the Tigrayans live in Tigray and abroad to support their cause and assist in their efforts to combat any threats to the administration. They ask solidarity in standing with the people of Tigray and working together to maintain peace and stability in the region.
The Cabinet of the Interim Administration has made it clear that there has been no official declaration regarding the dissolution of councils at any level. Dismissing rumors regarding the dissolution of councils, they stated instead focused on discussing methods to enhance and empower these councils.
In its statement, the Cabinet of the Interim Administration in Tigray addressed the importance of the Tigray Army, recognizing the profound sacrifices it has made for the Tigrayan people. The Cabinet acknowledged the Tigray Army as a fundamental pillar for the community and denounced any defamation or attacks against it, vowing to combat such actions. They also urged against politicizing the Tigray Army and using it as a tool for political gain.
The Interim Administration cabinet also expressed concern about individuals inciting violence and chaos instead of utilizing peaceful means to express dissent. They warned that the Tigray government will take action to maintain peace and security in the region and will not tolerate any disruptions to the peace of Tigray.
The Cabinet of the Interim Administration of Tigray has urged all relevant parties to make necessary preparations for the upcoming general elections. They emphasized the need for a timely completion of tasks by the Interim Administration in order to prepare for the establishment of a conducive environment for the electoral process.
