Ethiopian Airlines has recently launched a new flight route to Port Sudan. Previously, the airline had been operating flights to Khartoum, Sudan’s capital, three times a week. However, these flights were suspended in the past due to conflicts in Sudan. Today, the airline has announced the commencement of flights to Port Sudan, which is the base of the Sudanese government forces.

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the leader of the Rapid Support Forces, paid a visit to Addis Ababa on December 28, 2023. The Sudanese government had been accusing the Ethiopian government by providing support to the Rapid Support Forces.
