The newly formed cabinet of the Tigray Regional Interim Administration will work to advance peace, unity, and hope in the region, said Lt. Gen. Tadesse Werede, President of the Tigray Regional Interim Administration.
Speaking at the cabinet’s first meeting, Lt. Gen. Tadesse Werede emphasized the urgent need to address challenges stemming from the past two years of turmoil. He urged all government departments to establish clear priorities and concentrate on addressing Tigray’s most pressing issues in the short transition term.
“The cabinet must take responsibility for establishing a lasting and sustainable course of action, focusing on key identified concerns,” he stated.
According to Dimtsi Weyane television, the meeting was attended by both newly appointed and existing cabinet members.
Lt. Gen. Tadesse Werede was recently appointed as President of the Tigray Regional Interim Administration (TIRA), succeeding Getachew Reda, who served as President of the Tigray Interim Regional Administration (IRA) for the past two years.
